A seaside resort on the North Sea as sampling site
The sampling site is located in direct vicinity of the seaside resort Eckwarderhörne at the south western end of the Butjadingen peninsula which stretches between the rivers Jade and Weser. Eckwarderhörne is one of three sampling sites in the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea. Due to its exposed position at the eastern edge of the Jade-Priel system, this sampling site is suitable for assessing the effects of material inputs from agriculture and industry to blue mussels and common bladder wrack.
